One of the oldest kindergartens in the eastern suburbs, Manresa Kindergarten was founded in 1929 by the Ladies of the Parish of St. Mary’s, Hawthorn (now known as Hawthorn Catholic Parish)

“To serve the needs of the poor in Hawthorn”.

From those early days, the kindergarten has grown significantly providing comprehensive 3 and 4 Year Old Kindergarten Programs. Manresa now provides 58 families per annum an opportunity to engage in these popular kindergarten programs.

Manresa Kindergarten is situated on parish land. However, building and maintenance issues, running expenses and management issues related to the kindergarten remain independent of the parish and is performed by the volunteer parent run Committee of Management.

Manresa Kindergarten supports a multi-denominational community.
