Melbourne Private Schools introduces Daramalan College in Dickson, for all your education and learning for your childs future, We invite you to explore and learn more about the quality 21st Century education with Daramalan College.
Daramalan was founded by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC) in 1962 and it has maintained a proud tradition of providing a Catholic education to students in Canberra since that time. Daramalan began as a boys’ school for students in Years 5-12 but it has developed over time and is now firmly established as a leading co-educational school for students in Years 7-12.
Daramalan is a caring and dynamic school community where we seek to promote and live out the charism of the MSC. The charism of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart focuses on the love that Jesus showed each of us through His life and death and the belief that through experiencing and showing compassionate love towards all people we can help to make our world a better place. We are very fortunate to have a number of MSC as part of our school community and with them we work to keep alive the vision of Jules Chevalier, the founder of the MSCs.
Despite being a large school, Daramalan College is concerned with the needs of individual students from the pastoral, academic, physical and spiritual dimensions. As an educational community we place high value on providing quality learning opportunities for all students. Our students achieve excellent academic results and have a reputation for being well prepared for further study or employment after completing school. There is also an extensive co-curricular programme to complement the academic curriculum.
Welcome to Daramalan College one of the popular educators in your Dickson area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
