Stuarts Point Public School is a proud member of the Nambucca Valley Community of Public Schools (NVCoPS). Principals from each of the 10 schools in this Learning Community meet regularly, to discuss common targets and combined staff development activities and plan events to promote and celebrate the successes of our students, staff and schools. Collaborative decision-making between the school and community is deemed vital in achieving educational excellence. Stuarts Point Public School has the proud tradition of meeting the community and state-wide educational needs of students in the district for over 125 years. Stuarts Point Public School (SPPS) is set in an idyllic position in the Macleay Valley, 45km north of the town of Kempsey on the Mid North coast of NSW. The small village of Stuarts Point supplies basic services and most of the community are retirees who enjoy the relaxed lifestyle with both the river and beach within close walking distance and Yarrahapinni Mountain providing a majestic backdrop. The school boasts an extensive playground which backs onto the community oval and sporting fields. Our current enrolment of 63 students includes 9% ESL families and a significant Aboriginal population of 25%. SPPS receives Priority School Funding (PSP), enabling us to employ additional staff to support literacy and numeracy initiatives.
