Marrara Christian College has an integration of three sections or schools. Our Primary school encompasses Preschool to Year 6 and focuses on the foundational years of formal education. The Middle School, which has been operating since 1998, includes Year 7 to Year 9 and is designed to engage young teens through the ?lost? years Read More...of education. The Senior School, Year 10 to Year 12 is aimed at developing formal academic study skills as well as introducing vocationally orientated options. We have a boarding program in the school for indigenous students that is unique in Australia. Groups of ten students live in the suburbs as a family group with house parents who look after them like they were their own. This program is producing outstanding results in student retention and is considered best practice Australia wide. The College is committed to maintaining a family feel where parents are just as welcome as their students. On parent picnic days parents come for a picnic lunch under our shady trees with their children and usually a few extras. Parents are also involved in decision making through the College Council and the Northern Territory Christian Schools which owns and operates the school. ^ LessWelcome to Marrara Christian College one of the popular educators in your Marrara area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other's uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
